If you are a leader, the success of your followers is a key responsibility.  Successful people know how to capitalize on their strengths. A key concept for leaders, therefore, is that of "person-job fit."  A few questions:
  • How often do you have "fit" conversations with your followers?
  • Do you know your followers' strengths and weaknesses?
  • Do you know your followers' key interests and motivators?
Keep in mind people's strengths and interests may change.  We grow, we build new connections, we switch paths. "Fit" conversations should not be limited to once-a year (or, even worse, once in a lifetime) discussions.
